Our Story

I have always envisioned opening a business of my own since managing my family’s gift and garden shop. After many adventures and detours along the way, I finally found the pieces falling into place. A rebirth of my passion has been born in The Jade Lotus – a thoughtful shop.

The name is based on my roots in India and my husband’s roots in Vietnam – both places that call the Lotus their national flower. The lotus is a symbol of resilience and beauty – a gorgeous display of nature that emerges from the muddy waters. The jade stone is associated with protection, healing, good luck and prosperity.

The Jade Lotus and the symbolism behind the shop's name is also an homage to all the strong women in my life who have helped shape who I am and have taught me the importance of courage and kindness.

The Jade Lotus features a curated collection of quality goods made by small businesses and fair trade crafts supporting artisans around the world. We can’t wait to see you and share some good vibes!
